Pelvic Pain & Ultrasound Assessment

Pelvic pain can be more than just discomfort. It may be linked to underlying conditions affecting the reproductive organs, bladder or surrounding structures.

At MedHealth Ultrasound, we provide focused pelvic ultrasound assessments designed to investigate the cause of your symptoms and give you clear, clinically relevant answers.

Our scans are carried out by experienced sonographers with strong NHS backgrounds, ensuring a thorough and reassuring experience.

What Could Pelvic Pain Be?

Pelvic pain can be associated with:

  • Ovarian cysts

  • Endometriosis or adenomyosis

  • Fibroids

  • Bladder or urinary concerns

  • Hormonal or menstrual-related conditions

Ultrasound is widely used as a first-line imaging tool for gynaecological concerns and helps assess structures within the pelvis safely and effectively.

What We Assess During Your Scan

Your pelvic ultrasound may assess:

  • Uterus and ovaries

  • Presence of cysts or fibroids

  • Features linked to endometriosis

  • Surrounding pelvic structures

Throughout your appointment, we explain what we are assessing and provide a secure digital report with clear next-step guidance where appropriate.

When Should You Book?

You may benefit from a pelvic ultrasound if you are experiencing:

  • Ongoing pelvic pain

  • Pain during or after intercourse

  • Bloating or pressure in the lower abdomen

  • Changes in menstrual cycle

  • Unexplained discomfort

Our Scan Appointment

What to expect at your appointment:

Most appointments last around 45 minutes, depending on complexity. Depending on your symptoms and with your consent, the scan may include a transabdominal scan over the lower tummy and a transvaginal scan for higher-resolution detail. You are always in control, and the scan can be paused or declined at any stage.

Preparation

You may be asked to attend with a comfortably full bladder for the first part of the scan. If an internal scan is performed, you may then be asked to empty your bladder. Full preparation details will be included in your booking confirmation.

Your report and next steps

You will receive a secure digital report, a clear explanation of the findings, and guidance on next steps if further assessment is recommended.

I had an amazing experience — very friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She was super helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly professional throughout. She made me feel completely at ease. Such a down-to-earth lady that you can feel genuinely comfortable with. Her prices are so reasonable and very affordable too. I highly recommend Andrea
