Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer for this scan package. If anything is found that needs medical follow-up, we will advise you to contact your GP or prescribing clinician.
Do you prescribe Mounjaro?
No. MedHealth Ultrasound does not prescribe or manage weight-loss medication. This is an ultrasound monitoring and reassurance service only.
Can this scan tell me if Mounjaro is safe for me?
No. Ultrasound cannot confirm whether a medication is safe for you personally. Medication safety, suitability and side-effect advice must come from your prescribing clinician.
Can ultrasound check the gallbladder?
Yes. Ultrasound is commonly used to assess the gallbladder and bile ducts.
Can ultrasound check the pancreas?
The pancreas is assessed where visible, but it can sometimes be partly obscured by bowel gas.
