Scanning built around you, not the other way round

Mobility & Comfort
For anyone who finds travelling difficult — post-surgery, older patients, or long-term mobility conditions — the scan comes to you instead.

Privacy
Some scans are easier to sit with in your own space. A home visit means no waiting room, no passing faces — just you, your sonographer, and the results.

Families & Time
No need to arrange childcare or take half a day off work. We schedule around your day, not a clinic's opening hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an at-home ultrasound scan? An at-home ultrasound is a professional diagnostic examination performed in the comfort and privacy of your home. An experienced HCPC-registered sonographer brings portable, high-resolution ultrasound equipment, explains the findings and provides a detailed written report. Which scans are available at home? Available examinations include abdominal, pelvic, kidney and bladder, testicular, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening, combined abdominal and pelvic, and selected wellness ultrasound scans. All requests are reviewed for clinical suitability before an appointment is confirmed. Are transvaginal ultrasound scans available? Yes. A transvaginal ultrasound may be offered as part of a pelvic examination when clinically appropriate and safe to perform in the home environment. It is entirely optional and will only be performed with your informed consent. You may decline or stop the examination at any time. Do I need a GP referral? No GP referral is required. We will ask about the reason for your scan to confirm the most appropriate examination. In some circumstances, we may recommend speaking to your GP or another healthcare professional. Which areas do you cover? Home visits are available within approximately 30 miles of our Portsmouth base, subject to availability and clinical suitability. Travel within 10 miles is included. An additional £50 travel charge applies between 10 and 30 miles. How much does an at-home scan cost? Prices start from £249. The final price depends on the examination, your address and any additional scan area requested. All costs are confirmed before your booking is finalised. What is included? Your appointment includes a home visit from an experienced HCPC-registered sonographer, a comprehensive diagnostic examination, an explanation of the findings, a detailed written report and guidance about any recommended next steps. How should I prepare? Preparation depends on the examination. You may need to fast before an abdominal scan or have a comfortably full bladder for a pelvic, kidney or bladder scan. We will provide full preparation instructions when confirming your appointment. What space is required? We need a quiet, private room with enough space for you to lie comfortably and for the ultrasound equipment to be positioned safely. Access to an electrical socket may be required. Can someone be present? Yes. You may have a relative, friend, carer or appropriate chaperone present. Please tell us in advance about any mobility, communication or support requirements. Can you visit care homes? We may be able to visit care homes, supported-living accommodation and similar settings. Please contact us so that we can assess the environment, consent arrangements and support requirements. When will I receive my results? Your sonographer will explain the findings following the examination wherever appropriate. A detailed digital report is normally provided on the same day and can be shared with your GP or another healthcare professional. What happens if something concerning is found? We will explain the findings and provide clear guidance about the most appropriate next step. You may be advised to contact your GP, attend an urgent care service or seek specialist assessment.
